Easily absorbs carbon dioxide in the air and turns into calcium carbonate.
Uses:
Calcium hydroxide is widely used in industry and agriculture. In industry, it is used as a water treatment agent, an additive for building materials, and a pulping agent. In agriculture, it can be used as a nitrogen fertilizer, to improve soil, and to adjust soil acidity and alkalinity.
Calcium hydroxide is used in the production of chemicals, such as industrial potassium carbonate,, etc.
It is also used as a flame retardant for some fire-fighting materials.
